Job Opportunities Continued and Filming at Different Locations

When a movie goes to a location, there are many people that are employed in that area to help out with the filmmaking process. This has the ability to improve the economy dramatically as the film industry is providing hundreds of unemployed people contracted employment. Filming on location also gives local business owners more profit. Because the cast and crew of film will be eating in their restaurants, staying in their hotels, using the gas stations etc. A recent example of this is when the film crew of "The Descendants",  filmed on location in Hawaii. The hotel that it was filmed in where actor George Clooney stayed is still pulling in many tourist today. People come to stay in the hotel suite where  George Clooney had filmed in."We're still feeling the effects of 'Jurassic Park,'" says Sue Kanoho the executive director of the Kauai Visitors Bureau. Even the the movie was released in 1993. As you can see filming on location can provide many job opportunities for local business owners, and bring in a ton of revenue off of tourism once the movie has been released.
